Kym Bennetts

ANZIIF (Snr Assoc), CIP, FIML, GAICD

Kym has worked in the Insurance Industry for over 45 years and has worked for both International Underwriters as well as International Insurance Brokers. Prior to joining BIS, he spent five years as Assistant General Manager Client Services with Catholic Church Insurances. He also spent 14 years with Ansvar Insurance where he rose to the position of Operations Manager Australasia. Kym has been insuring the various denominational insurance schemes since 1989 and brings considerable experience in church insurances to BIS. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Christopher Mackenzie

Manager, Insurance Operations AAII (Snr Assoc)

Chris has sixteen years of experience in the Australian insurance market, including roles as Senior Underwiter with Catholic Church Insurance. He also brings a range of other skills to his role being qualified in Risk Management and Occupational Health & Safety. Chris is active in his own church community and can provide valuable assistance to our constituents on both insurance and risk management.

Sue Roggero

Operations Manager

Sue joined the Baptist Insurance Services in October 2009 and is serving in the role of Operations Manager. She has brought a wealth of experience from her previous roles in Human Resources and Administration. In addition to these skills, Sue also brings a great understanding of the needs of church at ground level, being the wife of a Senior Baptist Pastor.

Tim Williams

State Manager, NSW & ACT B.Com ANZIIF (Aff) CIP

Tim has been with the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT since early 2010 and is serving in the role of Manager, Insurance. Prior to that, Tim served as Church Administrator at Lakes Baptist Church on the NSW Central Coast for 11 years and this is where he has gained much of his church insurance knowledge. Prior to Lakes, Tim worked with Westpac for 13 years in a wide variety of branch and managerial roles. Tim continues to be involved with his own church community.

Stefanie Binnie

State Manager, QLD AD App Bus; AdvDipIB; DipFinPlan

Stefanie has worked in the insurance industry since 2003 as an insurance broker. During her career, Stefanie has been honoured with the Peter McCarthy Memorial Award for Young Professionals from the Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers, and has been a Queensland state finalist for the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Professionals from the National Insurance Brokers Association. Stefanie holds an Advanced Diploma of Insurance Broking, a Diploma of Financial Planning, and an Associate Degree of Applied Business Management.

Natalie Coulson

State Manager, WA B.COM, GradDipDiv

Natalie joined Baptist Churches Western Australia (BCWA) in July 2014 as Receptionist before moving into the role of Insurance Officer in March 2015. Having completed both a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Business Law as well as a Graduate Diploma of Divinity, Natalie brings a kingdom heart to the role and is passionate about serving the Western Australian Baptist church and school communities by looking after their insurance needs. In addition to handling insurance matters, Natalie also deals with Workers’ Compensation renewals and claims, and the renewal of several BCWA group licences.

Glen Thornley

State Manager, SA & NT MFAA DipFMBM DipMiss

Glen has been working part-time with Baptist Insurance Services since October 2019 representing both SA and NT. He also works for Baptist Financial Services and is Managing Director of his own Finance Broking company. He moved to working in Finance in 2015 after a long career as an Electrical Technician working in a range of Building Automation roles. Glen graduated from the Bible College of SA in 1987 and has held a number of board management positions in church, para-church and community organisations ranging from broadcast media and schools, to social justice and local congregations. He is an active member in his own church community.

Rodney Marshall

Rodney has worked in Accounting and Financial Management for the last 25 years. While working for professional accounting firms Rodney has provided a wide range of Tax, Audit, Management & Financial Planning advice. He has also been managing director of a music instrument import, wholesale and rental business, retail store and a finance operation, as well as treasurer for a number of churches.

Tamzin Fry

Claims Administration Officer

Tamzin joined Baptist Insurance Services Ltd in January 2021 as Claims Admin Officer. She has a passion for helping our Church, Care and School communities deal with any issues they may experience if unfortunate enough to have a claim.

Nigel Grimshaw

Risk & Compliance Manager

Nigel joined Baptist Insurance Services in June 2019 as Risk & Compliance Manager, ensuring compliance with all aspects of our licensing requirements. He is a qualified solicitor and has extensive experience in Risk & Compliance with both Catholic Church Insurance and CGU Insurance over many years.

Sharon Rowland

Accountant BEc (Accounting), CPA

Sharon joined Baptist Insurance Services in November 2020. She is a qualified Accountant and an experienced CPA for over 10 years. She has been involved in NFPs and Christian organisations both on a volunteer and employment basis. Sharon has a passion for Christian education and is a valued member of the team.
